Night Rides

After work on Mondays, Anthony often likes to go for a ride.  And last week it was no exception.  And so with no particular destination in mind, we decided to head up the Gold Coast highway for a while…….we then kept going, allowing me to experience my first night view of the Gold Coast as we headed up to Southport.   It was cool to checkout the lights, the smells, the sounds and idiot drivers that the coast had to offer.

I’m still not sure if we were unlucky, or just unfortunate to have not one, but two Mitsubishi Lancers decide to change lanes without looking at various times along our journey, which caused a few tense moments, but we were ok.  Thankfully we saw them before they saw us and were able to take action accordingly.

Late yesterday afternoon we were out again, and were joined once again by Scooter Girl as we headed for a spin around Coolangatta, then up to Currumbin and then down the M1 (mainly because Anthony likes the run through the airport tunnel).
It was a bit cold, but still good fun.

Tonight we were out again and headed down the highway to Murwillumbah to show me off to Anthony’s dad.  Once again, several layers of clothing were applied to deal with the cooler temperatures.

Despite the cold it was good fun to get out once again, and I’m looking forward to getting out and about again this week.

For this weeks instalment of Derbi’s Celebrity Pillion Passenger of The Week, we feature another American actress.  She was born in Minnesota in 1982, is 173cm tall and has become one of Hollywood’s most sought after actresses.

She performed in musical theatre as a child, then took up modelling, followed by acting at age 14.

She starred as Leatherface’s greatest nemesis in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and was a vampire hunter in Blade: Trinity.

She is an amateur photographer, is part German, French, English and Native American, and on the day after she was born, her parents took her to a dog-sled race where the temperature was thirty degrees below zero.

She was ranked 3rd on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 list for 2008 – She is Jessica Biel

Night riding was so much fun, even though it was cold….such a good feeling to be out in the fresh air, whipping past all the awesome scenes of Coolangatta and Tweed….a fast bike, a hot boyfriend and the wind in your face….it doesn’t get better than that!! x
