The sun is out….riding just got more fun.

Early last week we had our first fully dry (and sunny) day…the first one in about 18 days.  It was so good to get out and about without having to worry about water on the road or about getting wet, or slippery roads, or anything like that.  The ride to work is always fun, but to have perfect conditions makes it better.

Sadly there were still idiots on the road, such as the nutter in the BMW X5 who pulled out in front of us near the shopping centre when we were on our way home.  But despite that, it was great to get out and the conditions continued for the rest of the week.

Yesterday I had a good clean and now I’m all nice and shiny and ready for the week ahead. This week we begin our new routine and have two long riding days, two short riding days and one 5 minute commute to office number 3.  I’m loving the daily ride and look forward to it each day.

One ride that I’m looking forward to going on soon, starts from home in Yamba and then heads out to Maclean, before completing a circuit out to the small town of Brushgrove, and then back to Maclean. It’s a 47.6km trip, and looks something like this.

So get out there and enjoy your week, cheers, Derbi.

This week’s winner of Derbi’s  Celebrity Pillion Passenger of the week is a native of New York but she was raised in California by her father.  She has been a performer since an early age, and gained a scholarship to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and studied classical theatre, film and TV acting.   She had a minor role in the film “Jerry Maguire”, has starred in “Days of Our Lives” and has also composed and performed music for video games and movie soundtracks.  She is Gina La Piana
